Michelle was born in Switzerland and has lived for more than 10 years of her life in Saudi Arabia, Japan, Egypt, the Maledives and USA. Her amateur sporting career in Karate had qualified her at the age of 19 for the world championships in Japan. Sports like horseback riding, karate, teaching snowboarding and diving have always been a part of her life. After breaking off her medical studies, she went on to teach diving and diving instructors for more than 6 years in different countries.
Due to her career in Karate it was clear to her, that mindful and correct execution of movements as well as meditation is an integral part of successful sporting careers. So when her aunt, who successfully runs a yoga studio in Zurich for the last 25 years, recommended the Inside Yoga teacher training, Michelle took the chance. Inside Yoga is a modern style of yoga that keeps up to date with the latest anatomical knowledge and has adapted yoga to include this. It is a challenging yoga style which supports the exercises (asanas) with modern music and puts them into a logical sequence using the breath (vinyasa).
Michelle has strong medical and therapeutic interests. Her focus therefore lies in anatomical and therapeutic areas of yoga.
In the meantime Michelle is a certified 200hr RYT Inside Yoga Teacher, certified Inside Flow Teacher as well as a personal trainer and is specializing in athlete's yoga. In March she will be a certified with Inside Yoga Frankfurt as a 300hr RYT advanced Yoga teacher.
